Driving directions to the FREE JAPANESE MOVIE Event (Visitor Q) 7:00 PM Friday, July 25th and Friday, August 8th in Academic Hall Bldg., Room ACD-102 at Cal State University San Marcos:

From San Diego take I-15 north to hwy 78 west; Or take I-5 north to hwy 78 east;

On hwy 78 when you reach San Marcos, exit at Twin Oaks Valley Road and go south to Craven Drive. Turn east/left on Craven Drive. You will go past 2 or 3 STOP signs. Park in the last parking lot 'C' on your right, and walk east towards Craven Circle, where the four flags are.

The building on the right is Craven Hall and it has elevators that will take you to the third floor. Exit through the east side of Craven Hall and approach the building with the clock tower, Academic Hall. On the bottom floor you will find the theater room ACD-102.

Notice additional parking in Lot 'F' on the south east part of campus at the top of the hill. Printable map below.

What is SuperfLat?

The image above is from Takashi Murakami's collaboration with designer Marc Jacobs for the Louis Vuitton purse that was all the rage with Japanese women between the ages of 15 and 45 a few seasons back. For an answer to the question 'What does SuperfLat mean?' it would be easier to show you some of that style of contemporary Japanese artwork than trying to describe it. See the attached gallery
